Lina's big belly

My sweet friend and coworker Lina, asked me to take a few pictures of her big belly. Of course, I said, not because I think I am a good photographer or anything closer to that but because I was honored with that request. And because I feel happy holding a camera.

I have to say the weather was yucky that day, -cold and overcast- but we couldn't change the photo shoot because Lina's husband was leaving on a business trip the day after. Light was ugh too, but we didn't give up and out we went to little downtown Oregon, WI and took some pictures of a big belly and happy mama.

Thank you, Lina I enjoyed those 40 minutes of freezing tundra, very much; it was really a pleasure to take a few pictures of Gloria and her pretty mama (and dada)  :)
I hope you enjoy your pictures.

We are waiting for you, little Gloria.

Kindergarten

It seems we have finally found a school we really like for D. to start elementary school next fall. I know, it seems so early to start the process, but in order to pick the school we really wanted we needed to start this early. What a relief. What a big relief. We toured at least 10 schools in the last 2 months. In our district, out of our district, public schools and private schools, charter schools and whatever's left in the middle, and somehow there was always something that didn't click to me when touring all those schools. All of them -btw- with very high scores and super nice reviews, but still, there was something that didn't convince me. It happened the same to me when I was looking for preschools for D. two years ago. I visited many, until I went to one that felt right to me instantly, it felt right in my heart. And that was how I felt yesterday morning when we visited the very last school in our list to tour, it felt right. I liked the school, thank God, I liked

Copenhagen

I've had this city in my mind for a while. Never been there, but every time I research about trips to Europe I bump into a Copenhagen article, link, photo and I get more and more interested and excited about this city. In pictures it just looks like the kind of city I like. Here my inspiration for today Friday, a few photos of gorgeous Copenhagen. All photos by: littlescandinavian.com  (one of my favorite blogs). Happy weekend. Healthy and peaceful.
