Happy weekend

Good health, peace and laughter. Have a good weekend.

Making good decisions

When I drive my little one to school every morning, we pass by a huge high school building which every single day displays a sign that reads: Make good decisions. And every morning I repeat to my son the very same phrase: Diego, did you see that sign? "yes mama" he says. To what I reply: Never forget that son, -make good decisions. Kind of annoyed, he repeats after me: Make good decisions. I desperately need to start exercising. My body needs it. My mind needs it. I simply know it, it is a fact, and I'm starting to feel the consequences of not being determined enough to just start an exercise routine and stick to it. Isn't that the good decision I need to make? To take care of myself? It's simple but tough. It seems easy but it's not. I read this quote a few days ago from professional runner and writer Lauren Fleshman that deeply touched my heart: "I am inspired to run because it builds me up and breaks me down. It’s a storyline within the greater st

Quoting my -almost 6- year old.

Diego: "Mom I have decided what I want to be when I grow up." Mama: What son? What you wanna be? D: "The President." M: Of the United States? D: " hmmmmmm..... yes, of the United States." M: WOW, I love that, tell me more.... D: "No mama, now leave me alone, I'm playing StarWars.... "Mama, don't kiss me please, I'm poisonous." "Mama I love you more than anything else in the whole world." I do too sweet heart. There's nothing else in this world that I love more than you. "I love you more, sorry." No, I love you more son. "No." Yes. "Oh mama, there you are getting annoying." Crece sano y fuerte, amor de mama.

a happy place

This one here looks a lot like my happy place today. Have an awesome weekend. For us, here in the arctic it will be a much warmer one. Happy for that. Good health and peace.

Three pretty pictures + resolutions

I'm not very good at keeping my new year's resolutions. Actually, I'm kind of bad at it. This year I have a few but will keep them only to myself -just to change strategy- and see if I can make a few things happen in 2015. No big goals, no big expectations either, simple little things but if added into my every day routine could have a big impact in my life. Three pretty pictures. They are mine, and maybe that's why I think they are pretty. Good, healthy weekend everyone.
