Fall in all its glory

Weather is transitioning right now. Every day you can see, feel and experience a little something that is different, that tells you we are going deeper into the Fall Season and straight towards Winter. In Madison it is all about colors right now; gorgeous pumpkins everywhere, more earthy colors on people's clothing, the pinkish light, -Oh my goodness that Fall light; and the trees, what can one even say about those colors, the intensity of the reds and yellows, all those brownish leaves on the ground that enamor me every single time, again and again. Madison looks so so pretty right now. I want to enjoy every day, every single one before all these colors are gone.

Not only Fall has arrived, though but grandma will be arriving very soon too. That always warms our hearts and gets us very excited and inspired. She'll spend her birthday in Madison which is extra special. Every night Diego asks to spend some extra time after story-time -and before falling asleep- planning about places we are going to take her and things we are going to do while she is here. Grandma comes usually once a year but this year we have been very lucky and blessed, this is her second time in town in 2016. We can't wait.

Have an amazing week, everyone. Healthy and peaceful.

Kindergarten

It seems we have finally found a school we really like for D. to start elementary school next fall. I know, it seems so early to start the process, but in order to pick the school we really wanted we needed to start this early. What a relief. What a big relief. We toured at least 10 schools in the last 2 months. In our district, out of our district, public schools and private schools, charter schools and whatever's left in the middle, and somehow there was always something that didn't click to me when touring all those schools. All of them -btw- with very high scores and super nice reviews, but still, there was something that didn't convince me. It happened the same to me when I was looking for preschools for D. two years ago. I visited many, until I went to one that felt right to me instantly, it felt right in my heart. And that was how I felt yesterday morning when we visited the very last school in our list to tour, it felt right. I liked the school, thank God, I liked

Copenhagen

I've had this city in my mind for a while. Never been there, but every time I research about trips to Europe I bump into a Copenhagen article, link, photo and I get more and more interested and excited about this city. In pictures it just looks like the kind of city I like. Here my inspiration for today Friday, a few photos of gorgeous Copenhagen. All photos by: littlescandinavian.com  (one of my favorite blogs). Happy weekend. Healthy and peaceful.
