From winter to summer

This past weekend the weather was perfection in Madison. The word perfection does not even describe how perfect- the weather was. Lots of people in the streets of Madison, bikers, ice cream shops packed, sandals, shorts, sun glasses. Everybody was smiling in the streets (or maybe it was me projecting my own smile). It didn't look like a regular mid-April scene, it totally seemed a summer weekend.

It is amazing how many things you can accomplish when the weather cooperates; not only because is nice and warm but because the mood definitely gets a boost. We had time to run every single errand we needed to. We were outside a lot. We went to the park, took a few walks, got our deck ready for the warm season ahead, ate out, had ice cream twice, watched a movie, ate out again and again.

It is official. It's spring-summer (not sure, maybe both) but definitely warmer, much much warmer and for us here in Madison that always feels like a blessing.
Some pics from the weekend.

Be safe. Be healthy.
Peace.

Kindergarten

It seems we have finally found a school we really like for D. to start elementary school next fall. I know, it seems so early to start the process, but in order to pick the school we really wanted we needed to start this early. What a relief. What a big relief. We toured at least 10 schools in the last 2 months. In our district, out of our district, public schools and private schools, charter schools and whatever's left in the middle, and somehow there was always something that didn't click to me when touring all those schools. All of them -btw- with very high scores and super nice reviews, but still, there was something that didn't convince me. It happened the same to me when I was looking for preschools for D. two years ago. I visited many, until I went to one that felt right to me instantly, it felt right in my heart. And that was how I felt yesterday morning when we visited the very last school in our list to tour, it felt right. I liked the school, thank God, I liked

Copenhagen

I've had this city in my mind for a while. Never been there, but every time I research about trips to Europe I bump into a Copenhagen article, link, photo and I get more and more interested and excited about this city. In pictures it just looks like the kind of city I like. Here my inspiration for today Friday, a few photos of gorgeous Copenhagen. All photos by: littlescandinavian.com  (one of my favorite blogs). Happy weekend. Healthy and peaceful.
