6 days 'till Christmas

I can't believe the year is almost over. Of all, this year that is coming to an end (in only two more weeks) seemed to me the fastest year I have ever lived in my entire life. It flew by in front of my eyes. It literally feels to me only like a few months ago when the year started.
It always surprises me the way I feel about time at this point of the year.

So far we have been trying to be very aware that the month of December will fly by too and for that reason we've been trying to have our little one enjoy everyday a little activity related to Christmas and the whole Holiday spirit. We made a list and we are determined to stick to that list, so our Holidays in 2015 stay with us as a sweet memory, get photographed (of course) and remembered for years to come.

So far our count down to Christmas in a few photos, I'm sharing here...... more coming.

Happy winter break. Happy Holidays, healthy, safe and peaceful for all and each of you.

Kindergarten

It seems we have finally found a school we really like for D. to start elementary school next fall. I know, it seems so early to start the process, but in order to pick the school we really wanted we needed to start this early. What a relief. What a big relief. We toured at least 10 schools in the last 2 months. In our district, out of our district, public schools and private schools, charter schools and whatever's left in the middle, and somehow there was always something that didn't click to me when touring all those schools. All of them -btw- with very high scores and super nice reviews, but still, there was something that didn't convince me. It happened the same to me when I was looking for preschools for D. two years ago. I visited many, until I went to one that felt right to me instantly, it felt right in my heart. And that was how I felt yesterday morning when we visited the very last school in our list to tour, it felt right. I liked the school, thank God, I liked

Copenhagen

I've had this city in my mind for a while. Never been there, but every time I research about trips to Europe I bump into a Copenhagen article, link, photo and I get more and more interested and excited about this city. In pictures it just looks like the kind of city I like. Here my inspiration for today Friday, a few photos of gorgeous Copenhagen. All photos by: littlescandinavian.com  (one of my favorite blogs). Happy weekend. Healthy and peaceful.
