New York City

We were not sure about taking our 6 y/o to New York City, basically because of all the walking New York involves, hours of walking, every day while you are there, but after thinking about it for long time we decided that it was actually a good idea to show him that kind of city and expose him to all that greatness, all that culture, accents, colors and interesting things to do and see. So we did it, we went to New York city with a 6 y/o, hesitating a little bit to be honest if he was going to like it, but with the certainty that it was going to be an unforgettable experience for him.

The very first thing we realized (in the car on our way to the airport) was that we had forgotten our camera.....oops, but really who cares, we had two iphones, who needs cameras if you have 2 iphones, (not really you need a camera, but that was not going to ruin our trip). We actually took gazillion photos that I'll share little by little, all of them iphone 6 pictures.

And of course my existential crisis showed up again, while in NY and after coming back; it actually does every time I go to New York: Why I don't live here, why? that's the question. I'll go deeper on that subject on a different post. Anyways, I would love to share with whoever wants to see all the photos we took in gorgeous, crazy, amazing, crazy, cool, out of this world, crazy New York City.

first batch, of many more.
Have a great, healthy rest of the week.

Kindergarten

It seems we have finally found a school we really like for D. to start elementary school next fall. I know, it seems so early to start the process, but in order to pick the school we really wanted we needed to start this early. What a relief. What a big relief. We toured at least 10 schools in the last 2 months. In our district, out of our district, public schools and private schools, charter schools and whatever's left in the middle, and somehow there was always something that didn't click to me when touring all those schools. All of them -btw- with very high scores and super nice reviews, but still, there was something that didn't convince me. It happened the same to me when I was looking for preschools for D. two years ago. I visited many, until I went to one that felt right to me instantly, it felt right in my heart. And that was how I felt yesterday morning when we visited the very last school in our list to tour, it felt right. I liked the school, thank God, I liked

Copenhagen

I've had this city in my mind for a while. Never been there, but every time I research about trips to Europe I bump into a Copenhagen article, link, photo and I get more and more interested and excited about this city. In pictures it just looks like the kind of city I like. Here my inspiration for today Friday, a few photos of gorgeous Copenhagen. All photos by: littlescandinavian.com  (one of my favorite blogs). Happy weekend. Healthy and peaceful.
