a beautiful wedding

It had been a while since last time a remember going to such a touching wedding, more than a wedding actually, a beautiful proclamation of love. And this past weekend we spent our whole Sunday between getting ready (which is never easy in this house) and celebrating with our friends their decision to be together for the rest of their lives. The setting was just astonishing, the decoration so simple and pretty, people looked beautiful, loving and so involved with the celebration, and the couple, well, that's probably a different post, such a special couple, very special souls. I cried a lot, from the beginning to the very end of the ceremony. But I cry at weddings, and to be honest, after having Diego something happened to my lacrimal ducts, I cry even more now days than before, maybe hormones never went back to normal :)
I'm so happy we were there this past Sunday, I'm happy not just us but Diego was part of it too. He asked me actually, Mama, why are we here? I said, it is a wedding Diego, we are celebrating love. He replied back: Oh, we are here celebrating love, family and friendship? He is 4, just 4, and even for my little one, it was so easy to realize that, that place Sunday was full of that, love, family and friendship.

Congratulations to both of you David&Luis. You two are so beautiful together.

Kindergarten

It seems we have finally found a school we really like for D. to start elementary school next fall. I know, it seems so early to start the process, but in order to pick the school we really wanted we needed to start this early. What a relief. What a big relief. We toured at least 10 schools in the last 2 months. In our district, out of our district, public schools and private schools, charter schools and whatever's left in the middle, and somehow there was always something that didn't click to me when touring all those schools. All of them -btw- with very high scores and super nice reviews, but still, there was something that didn't convince me. It happened the same to me when I was looking for preschools for D. two years ago. I visited many, until I went to one that felt right to me instantly, it felt right in my heart. And that was how I felt yesterday morning when we visited the very last school in our list to tour, it felt right. I liked the school, thank God, I liked

Copenhagen

I've had this city in my mind for a while. Never been there, but every time I research about trips to Europe I bump into a Copenhagen article, link, photo and I get more and more interested and excited about this city. In pictures it just looks like the kind of city I like. Here my inspiration for today Friday, a few photos of gorgeous Copenhagen. All photos by: littlescandinavian.com  (one of my favorite blogs). Happy weekend. Healthy and peaceful.
