LOFTS

If I could choose where exactly I would like to live that would certainly be a loft on an old industrial building somewhere in New York City, hmmmmmm just by writing it I get in a better mood, daydreaming anyways. The idea of very open spaces, high ceilings, exposed brick walls, that cold but cool industrial feeling makes me salivate, the same way I do in front of a chocolate cake. Take a look at this very cool spaces.

Kindergarten

It seems we have finally found a school we really like for D. to start elementary school next fall. I know, it seems so early to start the process, but in order to pick the school we really wanted we needed to start this early. What a relief. What a big relief. We toured at least 10 schools in the last 2 months. In our district, out of our district, public schools and private schools, charter schools and whatever's left in the middle, and somehow there was always something that didn't click to me when touring all those schools. All of them -btw- with very high scores and super nice reviews, but still, there was something that didn't convince me. Copenhagen

I've had this city in my mind for a while. Never been there, but every time I research about trips to Europe I bump into a Copenhagen article, link, photo and I get more and more interested and excited about this city. In pictures it just looks like the kind of city I like. Here my inspiration for today Friday, a few photos of gorgeous Copenhagen. All photos by: littlescandinavian.com  (one of my favorite blogs). Happy weekend. Healthy and peaceful.

Vivian Maier, an American street photographer

Through the blog sweetfineday.com (which I love and follow on a daily basis) I read about this photographer named Vivian Maier, who I didn't know until this morning. I am so happy I found out about her, because I simply adore her work and that innocence she captured and shared in every single shot. I love all her pictures but I have to say that New York 1 and New York 2 are my favorite. Also, reading a little bit about her life made me like her even more. Here I'd like to share Maier's work with you all. http://www.vivianmaier.com/ photo by: Vivian Maier photo by: Vivian Maier photo by: Vivian Maier photo by: Vivian Maier photo by: Vivian Maier photo by: Vivian Maier photo by: Vivian Maier
