MOMtreprenuers

To go or not to go SOLO -in terms of career- is one of the thoughts that accompanies me almost on a daily basis. Having or not having my own business is that ONE thought, dilema that never really leaves my mind. I am torn between these two simple messages that my brain sends: No, don't do it, it's risky and an unknown territory to you. Yes, Do it, you can do it. One half of my brain saying: Why would you do that? you have a flexible job, you work on what you wanted to work, you can be with your son right after he is off from school, you have benefits, you have time for your family, etc.... But then the other half of my brain knows that there is much more for me that I could be accomplishing, amazing ideas I would love to see grow, being my own boss and create somehow my own creative outlet, which by the way I've been craving for so long. And here I go again. I read this article-interviews -from mothermag.com - about these 5 fabulous women who were brave enough and beli

From winter to summer

This past weekend the weather was perfection in Madison. The word perfection does not even describe how perfect- the weather was. Lots of people in the streets of Madison, bikers, ice cream shops packed, sandals, shorts, sun glasses. Everybody was smiling in the streets (or maybe it was me projecting my own smile). It didn't look like a regular mid-April scene, it totally seemed a summer weekend.  It is amazing how many things you can accomplish when the weather cooperates; not only because is nice and warm but because the mood definitely gets a boost. We had time to run every single errand we needed to. We were outside a lot. We went to the park, took a few walks, got our deck ready for the warm season ahead, ate out, had ice cream twice, watched a movie, ate out again and again. It is official. It's spring-summer (not sure, maybe both) but definitely warmer, much much warmer and for us here in Madison that always feels like a blessing. Some pics from the weekend.

A bright home in Amsterdam

This place...... what can I say about this beautiful, bright home in Amsterdam. Just enjoy the pictures I'm re-posting from t he socialite family. Good week to all. Lots of peace and good health, everyone.

Madison landmarks

I found this article about landmarks in the city of Madison and wanted to share the beautiful architecture shown here.  There are some very awesome buildings around the city for sure, especially those that belong to the UW campus. But let's not forget that famous, american architecture Frank Lloyd Wright lived and worked in Madison most of his life so a few of his best creations, live here too.  All these buildings were designated as Madison landmarks. I chose from the article some of those I liked the most and the ones I know. Have a good rest of your weekend. In Madison the weather forecast looks pretty amazing next week.
