Happy Friday

How did it get so late so soon? It's night before it's afternoon. December is here before it's June. My goodness how the time has flewn. How did it get so late so soon? -Dr. Seuss. Last day of July. Yep.... In love with these balloons BTW. Happy Friday and a great weekend everyone.

on social media + summer and other thoughts

Summer is going too fast, like everything else in life, right? Life flies by in front of our very eyes and every year it feels somehow faster. In Madison, we have only 5 more weeks of summer break before we are back in school. We are already placing orders online for school supplies and I am spotting a few reddish-yellowish leaves around town. WHAT? That’s right, what? Maybe trees get confused sometimes, as humans do. Anyways, I feel this summer we have accomplished a lot and being out a lot too; taking into consideration that we still have a little more than a month of vacation time, makes me feel really good too. Still would like to visit three more spots that were initially in our summer list; working on making that happen. Also planning on something very nice that I’ve been planning for long time, and that’s pure inspiration for me right now. Ill share later in the year. On a different note, I closed my Facebook account, it makes me a little sad but at the same time I feel re

This is the world

This is the world, child of mine, our home, big and beautiful, scary sometimes but still big and beautiful, and amazing, and also ready for you to make a change. Dream big, dream fiercely, keep being so curious, go out and enjoy it, know it, explore it, appreciate it, observe everything and don't take anything for granted, love big, love huge, love is everything, remember. mama will be praying for you and will be seeing you become the amazing, kind and fine man one day you will be.

Some eye candy

I've been following the work of   Constance Gennari since I discovered  The Socialite Family  blog, probably around three years ago. Still looooove the concept behind her blog: to photograph families in their homes -their very cool homes I should say- and share her own interpretation of the space those families inhabit. Enjoy, definitely it's -eye candy-.

The long weekend in Minneapolis

Having in mind that there are only 12 weeks of summer break helps to just hop into a car and start exploring, and that's the reason why we've been trying to visit a few spots around Wisconsin and adjacent areas, because at this point there are only 7 weeks left and we want to make sure that we were out a lot during the summer . We also want to take advantage of the fact that we can drive for only a few hours and be in a very different landscape and totally different vibes. We moved 4 years ago to Madison and this long (past) weekend for the very first time we visited Minneapolis. The drive is very pretty, especially after you hit Eau Claire-WI going north and once you get to Minneapolis it gets even prettier, of course if you like the big city life. There is a part of Minneapolis that reminded me of Portland - OR, so that brought very sweet memories. As we had expected, many things to do, lots of museums, nice old and new architecture, many parks and very green. I really lik
