Grandma's here, and we are on cloud nine. She makes us happy, so happy. Bits of life with her.

It is really close to drive from Madison to Chicago. It's an easy drive, but it seems like there's never time to hop in the car and just go. And every time we go and spend a little time there, we regret the fact that we don't go more often. Well, we did this weekend. Unbearably hot, but again, such an amazing city. A few pictures to share of our quick trip to Chicago.  The best of the trip: We picked my mom up and she'll spend 5 weeks with us. Also, we got to see our beautiful nephew after a long time.

We spent the day @ Rock Lake yesterday. It was such an easy Sunday, beautiful weather, warm and calm water. We really had a very nice day at the lake with Diego. I was thinking yesterday on our way back that we really need to enjoy more the beautiful lakes we have here in Wisconsin. Need to remind myself about -Wisconsin Winters-. Quick road trip to Galena, Illinois today, July 4th. What an amazing little town, pretty so pretty. We were there for a few hours only, but really enjoyed the trip. If you live in the midwest not far from this adorable spot, go visit, highly recommended.
