Happy Weekend

Getting really cold in Madison. We have a few plans for the weekend, but let's see, there has been an important change in the temperature the last couple of days so plans and temperatures go hand in hand here in Madison. In the meantime, happy weekend to everyone, healthy and happy. found these, like these. source. http://williamvalle.tumblr.com/

The Depot + The Diner

After a whole week raining here in Madison, finally the weather is giving us a break. Beautiful morning today. Beautiful Sunday morning. We had brunch @ Hubbard Avenue Diner , great diner, great food, and after brunch we visited a train depot right across street from the diner. The highlight of our morning, definitely THE WEATHER, after all we live in Wisconsin, remember.

The Farmers Market

This morning everything was about flowers and pumpkins at the farmers market. The temperature was not bad, the sky was pretty and blue, the sun was shining and warming up our bodies and lots of colors everywhere. There are a few signs though that winter is coming soon, it is happening. We went for a walk, we interviewed a babysitter (wish us luck), we ate empanadas and after we took some pictures we came back home. Diego threw some tantrums but that's part of the deal with a 3 1/2 year old everytime you go out, isn't it? Here some pictures of our morning.

The Kitchen

Isn't it true that everything  almost everything happens in the kitchen? If I think about my childhood, yes, that would be the case, pretty much everything happened in there. The amazing food of course but also the homework, the fights with my sisters, the fights with my parents, the happy moments, the visits, the good and not that good news, everything happened around the kitchen and around food. I have mentioned before that both my mom and dad are Italians, so food was/is another -character  in the play- in my family, almost as important as the rest of us. Now that I have my own home I feel our kitchen is also the heart of this house. Even though there's not much cooking going on around here -or there is-  the kitchen is THE place. Look at these pictures. Amazing, beautiful kitchens to hang out and make some memories. Source for the pics: http://williamvalle.tumblr.com/
